Ask yourself if you can afford to lose the money tomorrow if it breaks down. Don't take the salesman's word for ANYTHING!

I would say it would be dependent on any records of maintenance done. This is most likely a 3,0 v 6 engine that requires a timing belt to be replaced every 60,000 miles, Also the deferential fluids and transmission fluid and filter. Any slop in the shiftier from side to side will require new bushings if you don't want the key stuck in the ignition when you turn the car off. I would ask to take it to a mechanic to have it check out thoroughly. I would do a compression check of all cylinders , a chemical block test to rule out any overheating problems. Pull all codes that may be stored, Make sure coolant is flowing through the oil cooler hose, check bushings, seals and so on.
