2000 Subaru Legacy outback

I want to find an engine to put in my aging '00 Subaru
Legacy outback.  I'm trying to find options.  If I could I'd
put a WRX engine in it.  Please if you have any good
suggestions let me know. Thanks.

Installing a turbo engine would be an enormous amount of work. Not worth it for an 18 year old car.
