02 grand prix grinding and wont move intermittently

Asked by James Aug 29, 2020 at 02:59 PM about the 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix GT

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I replaced the two hub assemblies and both cv
axles recently. Drove it a couple of days with no
issue. Had some exhaust work done and drove it
home. The next day went for emissions and made
a right turn and the driver side started grinding
very bad and the car would barely move. I put it in
park and it grinded even hard before locking in
park. When it cooled down I was able to shift in
and out of every gear with no issue but if I drive it
a bit and it warms up..itll happen again. Any
thought are greatly appreciated!

Any smells or smoke coming from that wheel? I'm thinking you have a stuck brake caliper. Does it pull to one side when you're driving and you hear the noise? Are the ABS and TRAC OFF lights lit? Jim
