Car stalls as soon as I put in drive and give it gas.

I have a 1999 Pontiac Grand Prix GT. This problem just started last night. I was stuck in my driveway and as soon as I gave it gas to get unstuck, the car stalled. It started back up, but as soon as I put in reverse or drive and step on the peddle, it stalls again. It starts, but I have to stay on the gas when it's idling until the needle on my rpms quit bouncing around. Then it's fine and runs fine.

I know this is a very old thread but my grand prix does the same exact thing and im wondering what it ended up being on yours??? Thanks for your help, Adam
