rpm gauge not working

speedometer works but the rpm just stop working

I agree with your theory - sendor or gauge, I can not identify/locate the sending unit. Some research suggest the sending unit is the CPU/PCM. Other research suggest the sending unit is in the camshaft or crankshaft position sensor. Still, other research suggest the sending unit is on the bellhousing of the transmission as a magnetic pick up off the flywheel. Does anyone know where this sensor is?
