Car wont start

Asked by Grandmarquis941 Feb 14, 2019 at 02:35 AM about the 1998 Mercury Grand Marquis 4 Dr LS Sedan

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I bought a my 98 grand marquis about 2 weeks ago since
then the car wouldnt start. Thats the reason it was sold to
me. Since then i replaced the crank shaft position sensor. I
upgraded all coil packs and spark plugs brand new. I put a
new fuel pump on and fuel filter because they all were bad.
The car still wont turn on. It cranks like a champ and only
stays running when i shoot gas threw the carburetor. But
cuts off instantly when i stop. I still cant figure out why my
car wont start and stay on. If anyone has any ideas please
feel free to let me know. Please no negative responses i
spent alot of money on this car and dont have time for
jokes. Thanks for all your help god bless
-Pete
