Question type: General

1992 Mercury Grand Marquis LS 4.6L: brake
lights quit coming ON when I depress brake
pedal. I checked 2 (2 filaments) std bulbs
and 1 small bulb on each side, 6 total rear
plus the brake light interior mounted at the
middle rear window shelf. GOOD. Then
checked fuse panels (interior and engine
compartment) GOOD. Hazard lights and turn
signal lights. GOOD. Brake lights. BAD.

sometimes the wires break going to the switch, it happened on mine. All it takes is one, the wires are a bit too stiff. Look up under there.
