How do I get my brake lights to come on as soon as i push the brake pedal?

My brake light work fine but I have to mash really hard to get them to come. I
know I need to do something with the bake switch just not sure exactly what.
HELP ME PLEASE!!!!!!!

Find the switch along the brake pedal lever, first see if it got knocked out of alignment with the pedal and needs straightened, if it's okay but still not working swap it out. It's a plunger type switch, so hopefully for you it just needs to twisted back into place.

i just got back from a shop and they said my calipers needed to be changed. I admit I haven't done that since I've had the car. two years
