Hi, I'm looking into purchasing another car & I have my eyes set on a 99 Lexus ES300 with 130K.  2 owners only & well maintained. I have a truck so I'm looking to get a car, easier on gas but still with a little get up.            What are some of the expensive/costly repairs or parts?   
Did you get the part from a Lexus dealership or did you try a auto place like O'Reilly's?  
I understand routine maintenance like brake, shocks, tires, battery but I'm not trying to shell out $700 just on a part.  IE: front window motors.  
Thanks for any & all info.

When you drive a luxury car you need to anticipate higher costs of repairs and maintenance. Used Lexus will be cheaper to repair than a BMW or Mercedes and will likely be more reliable. As tennisshoes said, many parts are available at the local parts store. Dealer only items will be expensive. 130K well maintained doesn't sound too bad.
