I change the battery on my 2001 Jeep Grand
Cherokee Laredo after replacing the battery up on
trying to start my Laredo it no longer wants to idle
when it is idling it sits there and shakes pretty
good and the front end what is this from all I did
was replace the battery is it true that after you
disconnect the battery the computer system on
the jeep has to relearn everything
Try clearing your fault with an obd scan tool.
My mechanic fixed my front end of my car, then at one point he disconnected the new battery.. after that somewhere in a small time the engine light came on.. faults 300 , 304,305. I cleared the faults . As I cleared them I heard noise in engine like everything dropped.. I think it reset. The engine light is off and the motor is running smoother again..
Also. I had changed a dead battery and had to go to the dealership and have them reset the program. It showed the key light with a circle on it.. it would not start at all.. but that was what I had to do before I was able to fix my front end. Next time the faults came up . I cleared with OBD tool
