I have a 2002 hyundai santa fe, my question is.  if i can disconet the
air mass flow sensor and put an intake instead with out the air flow
sensor?

No you need mass sensor, your car will not run correctly...

Why? Like joemom says the car computer needs to know how much air is going into the engine for the engine to get the correct fuel amount.

I think the car runs better with out the amf. and fuel is fine prices are low. Or is there a better air mass flow sensor? Not the one that comes with the car?
