How does it cost to get car service/checkouted

I have an audi a8l and I having trouble starting it. The next day it wouldn't start at all, I got a new battery and still wasn't WORKING. I TOOK MY CAR TO MIDAS TO HAVE A LOOK AT AND NOW I HAVE WAY MORE PROBLEMS. NOW I HEAR A PUTT PUTT SOUND AND CAR WONT GO OVER 5MPH. ON TOP OF THAT SERICE LIGHT AND ENGINE LIGHT ARE ON NOW. PLEASE HELP HAVENT DRIVEN MY CAR SINCE NOV. OF LAST YEAR

Get the codes read. It's the best place to start. Fix it then sell it. The way it is now it's not worth much more than scrap metal.
