Speedometer control for 1990 Dodge D150

My 1990 dodge d150 has a speed sensor on the transmission connected as
well as a speed sensor on the rear axle that is also connected. My question is
which one controls the speedometer as mine is not working. The gears in the
speedometer are not stripped so I think the sending sensor may be my issue.

for a truck that old I wouldn't even worry about it , if it really bothers you crawl under there and see what's up
