2003 PT Cruiser won't start?

Asked by Guru9QQZ9 Jul 09, 2017 at 12:56 AM about the 2003 Chrysler PT Cruiser Limited Wagon FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Yesterday on the Freeway the car just died...
Thought it might have been the fuel pump or relay
Bought a new relay installed no change ...checked
fuel shader valve at fuel railed plenty of pressure!
So figured timing belt took of inner plastic fenders
Removed 70% belt looks new , timing marked in
correct position starter turned with no issue like
normal not fast
Ran code came up with Cam positions sensor
Replaced that 3 months back
But replaces it again...
Still would not start ?
Pulled code again still cam shaft position sensor?
Pulled spark plugs light smell of gas on them !
Just the one code this vehicle sucks to work on
No room ....
Have a 2 sec shot of Either no rumble no spider
Not as sure on how to check these coils just hoping
It's not the ecm
Any words of advice

Verify that you don't have a spark .. then disconnect the 2 wires coming from the pickup ... put an Ohm meter (DVM on lowest scale) while someone cranks the car ,,, if you get a solid fluctuation then either the ignition pac is bad or the wiring to the ECU is open. Good Luck
