dashboard illuminating light, blinking engine light

Asked by Ossie2077 Mar 08, 2017 at 02:58 PM about the 2002 Ford Focus SE

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

So my 2002 ford focus was working fine one day and started acting up the next day first the
illuminating dashboard light dosen't come on when it was working fine the night before so when
I'm driving at night I can see the odometer or the gear lights you know P, R, N, D, etc, etc. Right
after that my check engine light blinks every now and again, also there's this light that turns on
every now and then it looks like this "!" It started with the "!" Light coming on once then it was the
illuminating dashboard light not coming on, then it was the blinking engine light are all three
related or do I have 3 diffrent things wrong with the car any info is appreciated.

You would need to have the vehicle scanned for the trouble codes. This would let you know whats going on, and what to look at to fix. You can get this done at an auto parts store. Write down the codes.
