Ford five hundred issue

I heard something blown in my 2006 Ford five
hundred limited while I was driving in the
highway and stopped to buy a coffee and I
saw white smoke coming from the engine
hood. I checked the engine oil there were
nothing, but I I started my car the battery light
turned on the dashboard, and the steering
wheel was to heavy to move, I drive the car
home hardly. I would really appreciate it if
someone tells me what to do. And if that
effect the engine.
