Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The passenger power reat seat is locked in the down position.  Switch is working.  Motor turns (both up and down) but the threaded rod does not turn to raise the seat.  Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?

I have the same problem. Found out yesterday. I can hear the motor but the seat does not move. It's the 3rd row pass side seat. I'm searching the net to see if anybody got this problem an easy fix.

Did you ever find your answer? I am having the same issue with my Mounaineer.

Same problem as the rest of you. Ford dealer wants $100 just to look at it and tell me it is not working and not under warranty. I drove it home and am getting ready to tear it apart. Probably just a shear pin. Will let you know how the repair goes, and how to get it fixed yourself.

Did you ever find a solution to your power 3rd row seat problem? I am having the same problem with a 2015 Explorer that I recently purchased.
