Ticking noice when I turn on heater

When I turn on my heater in my 2001 Ford
explorer I hear a clicking noice

If you you tube the issue they will say the blend door actuator. That will take hrs to replace and does not always fix the issue, I learned that if you remove your glove box and look behind the center Consule you will find it to be a cheaper and much faster fix. Here is what i did for my 03 clicking when i changed temp from cold to hot & hot to cold. -romove glove compartment -with car running and using a flashlight look through the glove box opening around the area where the back of the temperture controle switch would be. -turn on your ac and change temps to allow the vehicle to make the clicking noise and you should see the little annoying "&*%%$ . honestly i am not sure what that switch would be called, maybe "temp control switch" but regardless of its name you will notice it is going forward and shooting back in box. all i had to do to fix the clicking noise on mine was reconnect a arm that fell off and been working great for the past 3 weeks. hopefully it continues
