You have to change your tranny fluid . DO NOT REPLACE THE FILTER!!! When you drain the fluid there want be much in the pan . If you look near the bell housing (where engine and tranny meet underneath ) You will see a metal round plug. About the size of a golf ball . Pop it out and shine a flash light in the opening. You will see the torque converter. Rotate the converter with a large flat head screw driver by inserting it in the opening. Use the screw driver to put in the flywheel teeth to rotate the converter. Your gonna see a 6mm bolt in the converter . Take that bolt out (it’s a plug) the converter will drain another like 5qts if fluid . After the converter is finished draining put the bolt back in and pan back on . Fill the tranny with regular cheap type f fluid . Let the suv run in park about 15 Mintues then you can put it in gear and drive away.no more shutters or anything. It will go another 100k

Thats beyond your fluid. Thats your torque converter saying goodbye. Changing your fluid will most likely hurt it more. Don't ask me why, just something transmissions do from time to time. Has it ever shuttered at speed out of nowhere on you?
