'02 Escape 3.0L,Runs rough on start up,intermitant miss fire when warm

Asked by my02escape Nov 15, 2011 at 08:08 AM about the 2002 Ford Escape XLS FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Cold starts really poorly, very rough, then once it's warm runs fine.Runs perfect for awhile when driving until you slow down and it lugs or you stop at a light then it starts misfiring and will continue.I've replaced several coil packs on the cylinders I thought were misfiring, but it seems to be different cylinders each time.I've also put new plugs in,sprayed cleaner through the airflow sensor, run high test gas with injector cleaner......Now I'm stumped!!!
