Clusters not working after stereo wires touched

Asked by jake Jul 02, 2020 at 09:09 PM about the 2003 Chevrolet Silverado 1500HD LS Crew Cab 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I changed the stereo on a 2003 Silverado 1500HD however
didnt get sounds out of the speakers, so I touched a small
orange wire that was not being used to the constant and
after a few seconds I heard a pop like a fuse breaking. I
tried to start the truck but immediately after it starts it
shuts off. Also, the gauges are not working but all the
lights on the cluster except for the high beams are. Any
ideas? I've check all the fuses and none are blown.

Also, front door window and door locks do not work, however rear door window switches work perfectly
