Question type: Maintenance & Repair

2004 Silverado 4.3 V6...just died going down
the road without warning...no spark...already
replaced the ICM, distributor cap and rotor,
and tested the crank position sensor
(working fine)...im gettin a solid blue spark
coming out of the coil wire going into the
distributer, but no spark coming out of the
spark plug towers...tested the timing on the
rotor and thats not an issue (set cylinder 1 at
full compression, then checked that the rotor
was pointing at the #1 spark
post).....anybody have any ideas on what
this could be???

Seems like you have air and spark. How about fuel. If the fuel rail is delivering good fuel I would start looking at timing. Also check your fuel to make sure it is t full of water. Not uncommon. I’ve hooked a line to the fuel rail after taking the valve core out and they have been half and half gas water
