2001 Chevy Silverado will not start after replacing starter and disconnecting positive cable

I had to change the starter I disconnected
the positive cable on battery and replace
starter now it will crank over but will not
start

I replace the starter on my truck, then took the old one to be test and it work. It was the Neutral safety Switch that was bad.
