Coolant fan issue

My fan doesn't come on when my car reaches
temperature so i turn it off and then back on fan
works what could be my problem

Some makes and models, if you turn on ac, the fan/s will run. Also, some makes and models, if you unplug cts sensor, the fan/s will run, It's a default because the pcm doesn't know engine temp, that signal comes from engine coolant temp sensor. Any applicable trouble codes relating to anything to do with cooling system? How hot does the engine get in degrees F? If good voltage and ground at fan connector and no fan action, suspect the fan. Just my opinion.
