A leak in the gas tank or filler neck, and if you overfill the tank, you risk flooding the EVAP canister and vent lines with gas. Your car is old enough for rust to play a factor, so have someone inspect the tank and filler neck, or crawl underneath yourself, the area to inspect is hard to get to, at the top of the tank.

I have a gas leak at the top of the engine at the air filter. Its where the map sensor is. So why is it doing that?
