Brown coolant. Did not overheat. Oil seems fine.

My 1995 Chevy g20 van ran fine all day, I turn it off
then notice a chemical smell in the van. I then look
under the hood and the coolant is low and brown.
It has not leaked coolant since I replaced the water
pump 6 mo ago. The engine seemed hotter then
normal but there were no indications of
overheating. The oil and exhaust seem normal as
well. No odd coloring. Wtf? Please tell me it's not a
blown gasket.
Also it was extra hot out today, lots of uphill driving
and it drove a fairly long distance before this
occured.

maybe you should open the hood more often- when was the last time you checked your coolant? your tranny fluid? (careful with that) try some regular maintenance- change out all the fluids (except that tranny) and get a tune up- you have to do that every now and then- it sounds like it should be ok-

The fluids have been checked 3 times in the last 2 months without change or problems. These are not things I ignore. I may not be a guru but I'm not stupid. I have also only owned the van for 6 months and have had more than just regular maintenance on it but thanks anyway. Was looking for more information than something so obvious.
