engine performance question

car runs good but bucks at any steady speed - even with cruise on. Excelerates
great no hesitation , but engine seams to stutter when speed is reached. Don't
notice variations on tachometer.

Check the distributor. It may be worn or the centrifugal advance mechanism may not be working. Hope that helps! Jim
