Sorry to bother you again. I tried http:''www.idavette.net/facts/70.htm to run the vin number in order to determine if this 1970 corvette is an LT1. the vin #194370S401994, since it is older than 1980 it requires 17 digits to run through the system. any other ideas? Thanks Don

Question type: General

I am trying to decode the vin from a 1970 corvette LT1 I am considering purchasing, I am trying to verify this is a genuine LT1 and not a clone. The vin # is 194370S401994. I tried to decode the vin on the above website and was unable. How can I decode the vin, and will it verify this car is a true LT1, Thank you, Don

If that still does not work, here is a list of sites with several decoders that may help: http://www.corvettetop.com/index.php?status=NOV Best of luck! CarGrrl
