95 ford Taurus power shutting off when turning key

Asked by Tyler May 06, 2018 at 09:10 PM about the 1995 Ford Taurus GL

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My car wouldn't start or power up so I replaced the
spark plugs, spark plug wires, battery terminals,
and got a new battery. Now the power works fine.
When I turn the key over to crank the car, it doesn't
crank at all and all of the power shuts off. It won't
come back on at all until I wiggle the battery
terminal some. Then it does the same thing after I
try and crank it again. Does anyone know what this
could be?

I replaced the terminals and still the same thing. I'll get some new cables as well.

I know this is old, but did you find out the issue? I'm having the same problem with my 2002
