what is the difference between a grand am and a grand prix?

I think the Grand Prix has more options and is the more expensive version of a Grand Am, at least thats what I have always heard. S.S.S.

Grand Prix is a much better car, larger, more power avail, more features avail, huge fan base, and tons of upgrades/customization options.
