I'm trying to do the same thing. But hey, it's only been almost two months since you posted the question. I'm sure CarGurus will get back to you soon...ish.

This should be as easy as adding a cancel action button under "sale in progress". Very poor UI/UX.

I had the same issue. I sent an email asking this same question and received a reply that there is no way to cancel a pending sale from the website. You have to call. They said it does not appear as "pending" to anyone but you (I'm not sure if that's true or not), but you should still call to cancel because you will be unable to initiate a new sale with anyone else until the old pending sale is cancelled. I just called the # they gave, which is: 877-314- 2445 and it was fast and easy and taken care of. Give them a call. :)

Ran into this issue too. Marie was so helpful by posting the customer service number which is hard as hell to locate. I didn't have a good experience leaving a message to be called back, so definitely wait on hold until you speak to an actual person. I did call the next day and reached a rep and they took care of it immediately to their credit.
