Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 1989 Oldsmobile Cutlass Cierra
which has 169 thousand miles on it , and as
of recently , outa nowhere , my steering
column has become so loose I'm almost
afraid to drive it. How do I fix this and or
tighten it down??

You need to disassemble the steering column then use a real long extension with a swivel socket to tighten 3 nuts in the middle of the column. Believe it or not it can't come all the way apart but is just hard to drive with the wheel in your lap. I hope this helps. Take care
