Buying Car without a License

Asked by Samara Sep 24, 2018 at 04:49 PM

Question type: Shopping & Pricing

I will start by saying that (1) I am not great with money (2) I do not have my
license just yet. That being said, I did a bunch of overtime hours last month (I
get paid monthly) and would like to go ahead and buy a car while I have the
money. Would it be financially irresponsible for me to go ahead and buy a
car despite my not having a license just yet? About how much would a car
insurance company charge me in this situation? Any help/answers are
greatly appreciated.

Thanks! I'm pretty much in a bind because I need a car to help me get a license because no one ik has/will let me drive their car. Then, in my state, driving schools are backed up for MONTHS. My instructor told me I just need to buy a car. Thanks though! Basically, now ik a car lot is definitely out of the picture.

It is irresponsible to drive alone without a license but you can purchase one without it. You would just need two proofs of residence. But not all lenders would let you borrow without one. Call around far as the insurance and see what they say.
