Would you be concerned about a car that has been on a lot for over 200 days?

Question type: Shopping & Pricing

We have seen two cars we were interested in previously are still for sale.
They have been on the same lot 264 & 186 days respectively.  They've been
reduced more than once and show as a "good value".   Is the time on the lot a
"red flag'?

Time on the lot to me is no huge deal, but there is usually a reason. It may have been over priced or an unpopular model or funky color or something else. Anytime you look at used vehicles look close and do your research.

I know from personal experience looking to buy a car for a few weeks that when you see a car on one of these car lots that don't even leave their name of their lot or their address, the reason these cars are online for 200 500 even 931 days like I saw today, is because these cars do not exist ..they are used as permanent lures to draw people into a bait-and-switch. it's a Despicable and vile trick. read customer reviews ....one after another complaining of getting to the lot and the car miraculously is not there. They want to get you on the lot and try to sell you an overpriced piece of junk
