Question type: Shopping & Pricing

Why is that when I check the possible price on my car as I'm deciding to list it with you, you tell me it's fair.  Then I list it for the exact same price you recommended and my listing says it's a "High Price?"  At the FTC, they call that "Bait and Switch."  What's up?

I wouldn't get too hung up on the evaluation. It's a computer program, that looks at other vehicles like yours for sale on this site, based on price and mileage. IT doesn't take in consideration of condition, etc. Dealer prices will be higher than PP ones, so if your listing price is the same or higher, that would make sense if you have a High Price evaluation.

Thanks. This is my first time using CarGurus and I started thinking I had done something wrong when the IMV dropped $1500 as soon as I posted my listing.
