Question type: Shopping & Pricing

What is the best way to adjust the price for a reported accident?  I don't believe
the CG deal rater takes any consideration for accidents that do not affect the
title status.

I suppose that would depend on the extent of the damage.

Yes, agreed. It also depends on when the damage occurred. The only thing that the buyer has to go on is if the title was labeled "rebuilt" or "salvage". If the car was hit shortly after new, it could take a lot of repair before the insurance company would total it... including frame pulls, body pane replacements, repaint, etc. So, that "good deal" might not be a good deal if welds on the frame are near end of life. It would be good to have a scale of extent of repair and time of repair to alter the "fair price".
