1977 ford f100

I drove truck from Los Angeles to Texas for Christmas ran
fine all the way there and back ran out of gas about 50
mile from home got gas and then ran for 10 miles and
started stalling I get AAA to tow me home the next time I
drive it seem like running good then it starts sputtering
and dies let it sit a few minutes starts runs then stalls I'm
going to start with filter but I don't know

Piece of crap in the fuel line ? Sometimes the fuel line will rot out at the top where it goes over the rear axle , it won't leak because it's at the top but it will suck air

Probably killed your fuel pump. Fuel pumps use the gas in the tank to keep it cooled, and after a 3 hour drive you ran out and the fuel pump ran hot. I'd start by checking fuel pressure is within acceptable range.

Uhh, Ken. It's a 1977 F100. Most likely got crap in the carb.
