since when did vehicles with over 100k miles cost $25-$30k?
while I know that some vehicles may be more dependable now a days not all of them are. It is a problem for the consumer when they have to think about a car payment for the next 3-5 years for a vehicle that may not last.

It all depends on the vehicle you are looking at and how new it is and what the original MSRP was. New vehicles are getting more expensive these days and $35K is close to the average in 2019. You must be looking at vehicles that had an MSRP of over $50K.
Since prices keep going up and up. Hard to find a decent F250 under 100,000 miles and under 30k. Cars do last longer than they used too. Most all cars can go well over 200,000 miles with proper maintenance and a few repairs.
One hint. Dealers will ask more for used cars than they cost new hoping for suckers which is why I bought the last one new.
