Most chimes are typically under the dash in the steering column area and the chime could easily be removed. Another trick is to locate the wires going to the switch in the door (usually in the door jam) and join the two wires together to trick the car into thinking door is closed st all times. This chime also warns you that headlights were left in so you could come out some day with a dead battery because you weren’t notified lights were inadvertently left on.
