Question type: Car Selling & Trading In

I have a buyer who lives in California my car is registered in Nevada, is the
transfer complicated? Do I have to be there in person to sign the car over to
the new buyer?

Your buyer is screwed if the smog on your car is not California compliant.

It's a state by state situation, but usually not hard. You need to give the buyer a bill of sale and the title; whatever else the DMV says the buyer will need. Good luck.
