1993 corvette

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Car digital gauge says 41 degrees (85 degrees
outside) analog gauge is working. Replaced
Coolant temperature sensor. No help. Car is stuck
in cold loop. Flooding out etc. HELP

The gauge info comes from sender in the passenger side head near the #6 cylinder plug. The sending unit has a blade connection where as the "sensor" is a socket connection at the front of the intake manifold under the Throttle body.

    i think the car is running too hot when idling in traffic. Other cars seem to stay at 180.it has been going up to 230 at times( 1993) convertible
