Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hi first time poster here I'm trying to jump a
Mitsubishi mirage (2016) with my Hyundai Elantra
(2012) my battery has a positive terminal fuze box
and fine attached to the position terminal
preventing me from getting a good connection to
the terminal itself however there appears to be a
metal plate as part of the whole array and I'm
wondering if I can attach my cable to that instead

    how do you connect the terminals for a jump start. there is a negative lead from the battery but I see no positive lead. Thanks
