2012 Dodge Ram 2500. Gas cap light stays on. This is how to clear it.

2012 Dodge Ram Truck had gas cap light on.
I tried everything but gas cap light was still
on, the trick to shutting it off was hitting the
trip meter button on speedometer cluster.
