Bad Buy

Asked by JohnnyNH Dec 27, 2018 at 05:50 PM about the Mercedes-Benz GL-Class

Question type: General

Guys DO NOT buy your next vehicle at
Mercedes Myrtle beach. If this page could
accommodate I would’ve added all the
necessary details.By the time I got my car to
Mercedes in Alexandria,Va I was told that the
check engine light had recently been reset
which explains why it came on within 100
miles of me buying it!CarGurus Protect your
reputation and buyer BEWARE or you’ll end
up with almost 6k of expenses that their
sales team will never admit.Probably the
norm.MB Usa will not be able to help either
because they’re an independent family
franchise.I only lucked out because I
previously owned a Mercedes so my
dealership in MD helped me out with the
cost. Otherwise you’re in for a f*** over better
luck on any used car lot. These guys don’t
stand by the Mercedes brand!Take a look at
the pictures and remember that is where
Mercedes Myrtle Beach will leave you

Trust me had this been off of some used car lot I would’ve have dissected it way before I bought it.But I made the mistake of thinking that just because this dealership came with the name it would have integrity.I only did that because of my previous experience with other Mercedes dealerships but not with these thieves.Far from it!For a brand like Mercedes to go and reset the Check engine-Is a huge NO!NO! But it was proven to me.Not to mention MB USA scratched them off as family owned business.SC lemon laws do not apply to used vehicles is what the GM scoffed. He was right. He didn’t even give an ounce of effort to correct the wrong that his team member had pretty much put me in.I specifically explained that I had over 700 miles to drive and that if there was a problem I’d rather have it shipped for a couple of hundred bucks.Nope.The salesman sheepishly smiles and said no it’s fine.Atleast I ended up bringing it to my dealership who fixed Myrtle beaches f*** up!They took accountability and stood by the brand.I got a discount on the repairs along with an apology on behalf of a bunch of kids who are probably just screwing up their parents business.Apparently it had been sold off just before the hurricane by the Higgibotham family. You live and learn.Just learn from my mistake and take your business anywhere else but these guys.Theyre not a reflection of the brand just a another bunch of used car salesmen
