Main rear brake lights

Asked by sblackwell Jun 07, 2010 at 09:14 AM about the Dodge Durango

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My two main brake lights are not working. installed bulbs on each side. Still nothing. Third brake light works. I was told it was the electrical dist box under hood. Any other possibilities? The guy worked at a major parts chain.

I would start of by checking the ground in each light, maybe they need to be cleaned. You can take a ground from the body and check with volt meter if you get power if you do you need to clean the ground.
