Tires and Rims 4x4 s-10

Asked by Jason Jun 29, 2008 at 07:13 PM about the Chevrolet S-10

Question type: Car Customization

Supposedly a guy told me that a non zr2 s-10 wont be able to get rims or tires on it without either lifting it or chopping the corners on fenders. Any thoughts? Id really like to get better tires and rims than what are on it.

Talk to a tire and wheel shop. Some guy told me that I'd never make anything of myself if I didn't go to college. I went to college twice and still haven't made anything of myself. Opinions are like a*holes, everybody's got one. A tire shop can tell you what will honestly work with your truck.

Make sure you go to several tire shops. Also you should go to at least on shop that specializes in off-road tires, they will be able to recommend a tire and rim combo that will work well with your S-10.

if your trying to put bigger rims and tires on you have to lift the body, but you can also buy offset rims to gain clearance up to a certain size rims/tires. you can also do a mild lift without changing any of the factory parts to gain height room for slightly bigger tires.my stock s-10 4x4 has 31x10.5 on 15 "rims. you can go up in rim size while putting on a lower profile tire.
