only if it's a '94 or earlier... The later ones... Say what you will, I don't like them. (wreteched uncomfortable cars) and if it's specifically a '95, Don't buy it. they have an engine unique to that year and are a headache if they break

The Jbody is an awesome choice if you go with a newer model with a warrenty, or an older model (for ease to work on). I love the 2nd Gen (1988 - 1994) but honestly, the 2.8L and 3.1L are the best starters for a Mechanic in Training. But it's easy to access where you need to be, and budget friendly if you're able to make repairs yourself. I personally like the engine compartment of my Cavi for the ease. Beats working on a Grand Prix anyday.

DO NOT buy a 1995 Cavalier... They have an engine with parts that are specific to that year, and only that year... My buddy blew up 3 engines becuase they kept putting '96 engines in his '95 and it didn't work with the rest of the car.

Better off with a bicycle. More reliable and costs less to work on, even if you get run over by a old Cavalier that just broke down.

Okay here's the thing a 95 in a 96 engine makes no liquor difference it's all in how you drive the vehicle it's not a damn race car second of all they're not throw away Vehicles especially if you take care of them I have a 2004 Chevy Cavalier 5 speed manual with the 2.2 Ecotec have not had one problem with it it runs great it has over two hundred and twenty- three thousand miles on it it's all in how you driving and all in how you take care of him which means every 3 months give me an oil change make sure they stay clean a well-maintained in the car will take care of you I guarantee it I've owned a lot of cars in my life but the Cavalier is one car that I love the most no they did have two different engine Styles they have the 2.2 Ecotec and the regular 2.2 they also had a 2.4 the 2.4 Motors for the most part were crap cuz the tensioner for the timing chain would give out and when it did you either blow Rod blow up valve or something stupid like that but the 2.2 Ecotec is actually compatible with the 95 it will Mount up and it will run the same without all the problems
