I inquired about a car, this was a private
seller, and he was so rude about everything.

Some people have attatude,s others don,t,they must not want to really sell there car/truck,my advice is you don,t want to deal with them anyway,find another car and hopefully you will find the right person to deal with and make your car buying experince better for you.
