I strongly advise you to get any Cayenne you are considering inspected by a qualified, knowledgeable, Porsche technician. Do not rely on a friend "who knows all about cars". You need someone to look either of these over and give an honest assessment. Lean towards the one with the most known/documented service history. Make sure the service has been kept up to date. My tendency is to go for a newer over an older vehicle, but that needs to be weighed against the service history and anything your pre-purchase inspection finds. These older, out-of-warranty Porsches can be great to own, but expect to spend money on servicing them properly, especially since they are over 100K miles. Check this forum to learn a lot more about this version of the Cayenne: rennlist.com/forums/cayenne-955-957-2003-2010-77/
