Gas or diesel is personal choice nowadays. Not much of a difference. Unless it's a truck. Gas is easier to get.

Diesel cost more per gallon but you get better fuel economy. Diesels cost more upfront and the maintenance cost is higher. You also have to add DEF regularly.
